I posted this in the chevy section, but no response. I'm curious as to the width between frame rails in the engine bay on a 90 chevy s10 blazer? Reason i ask, this is the donor vehicle for my 4.3 and i am wanting to know if i can cut the whole motor mount out and reuse it in the toy. I'm being cheap and lazy, i know, but if its wider then a toy, then it should hold as good as in the blazer.

Get ready to duck, because the SHIT is about to hit the fan!!! :flipoff2: I am very surprised that nobody has flamed you yet! I will try to be nice...
1. Just pull the fricking motor and dump into the Toyota! You are going to spend more time and effort cutting the frame to fit than it would to just pull and install.
2. Use the SEARCH for the install on the 4.3

How about measuring your donor vehicle?

I try to plan as many details as i can so i cut down on the total number of surprises. As it sits, i have to fab up some kind of motor mount anyway cuz the original mounts are long gone.

Measuring the donor vehicle will get done, but its 3 hours away and i want to have an idea as to how i will be mounting the motor before i go pull it. I dont know anyone with an s10 blazer or i would measure that.
I've searched, and no one that is doing the swap is using the oem chevy mounts. Could there be a reason for that? sure but i would like to try before i have to make something. So as long as the s10 frame width is more then 23", it may work just fine.
