: How bad is +13 degree caster?

My BJ-40 had +6 degrees caster when SOA but now converted to coil spring and with pinion angle lowered gives +13 degree caster.

Should i cut and turn now or should i give a try first?

If i must turn then i gonna have some issues with 4x4labs steering arms because they are going to come too close to frame but maybe i can bend them a little.

Now this would be second time that this axle is cutted&turned because it was once done when building SOA but maybe it can be done multiple times without problems?

Have done some searching but now i'm looking for first hand experience on high positive caster angles.

The knuckles are angled towards the rear right? I intentionally run 12 degrees. It streets just fine, but gives the tires a little more bite when climbing ledges, by sawing the wheel.

Yes its angled towards rear. Good to hear that its not undriveable but are there any bad sides of running high positive caster? How about tire wear, bearings?

+,...
*it will track like a son of a bitch! straight as a fucken arrow!
*as mensioned, you can really get the edges to hook up on nasty ledges.

-,....
*more difficult to turn, a strong sag. PS shouldnt have a problem
*if you flat tow your rig, when your tow rig turns, your cruiser will keep going straight (pushing the ass end of your tow rig) :D.
*turning on the street is allot harder on the tires, but only when turning, no difference when going straight

I don't think you'll be able to bend the 4x4labs arms...either accidentally or intentionally. They are pretty beefy. Better to communicate what you need done and have them made for your application.

To me 13 deg. sounds like a bit much. I personally run 5.5 deg. I don't think I would run more than 8 deg.

I though about this couple of days and then i decided that its better to be safe than sorry and did C&T to safe +6 degrees. Thanks for everyone who replied.
