I have a YJ with a NV3550 and 5.0. The clutch slave cylinder and all clutch parts are from a 87 F-150. Everything works except that the tranny is never fully in neutral with the clutch pressed in because either a lack of stroke or pressure in the master cylinder. Is there a swap for the master cylinder to send more pressure to the clutch?

I'm pretty sure the YJ master cylinder would be a 3/4" bore (my MJ is 3/4" bore).
As you obviously figured out, the problem stems from having a slave cylinder with a larger bore, requiring more fluid to depress the fingers on the pressure plate than the master cylinder can supply.
Rather than get a different master cylinder, have you taken a look at Novak's slave cylinder kits? They only list up to '86 Ford bellhousings, but you might try giving them a call and seeing if they can help you.

thx, guess I should have given more info for mine. 2004 (4.0/nv3550)into a 88YJ. We bench bleaded 88 master to 04 slave and installed it and it blew all the fluid out the slave.
Was reading where a master and slave out of a 94/95 would work, but worried about clearance between the master and the brake booster and also bolt pattern to fire wall. Still researcing with what little time i have and no luck.
Thanks
the ford master looks like it might bolt in to a YJ
I have on here that I will try after dinner
the ford uses the same style lines, I grabbed a jeep adapter to do my ford to AN line swap
