Anyone ever fit a CJ7 body to a CJ5 frame? Anyone know what would need to be done to accomplish this? Does anyone have diagrams of a CJ5 frame and a CJ7 frame? I know the frame would have to be stretched and some body mounts would probably have to be moved, but I'm looking for specifics.

Can't offer any advice, but the question that comes to mind is:
Why? Wouldn't you just end up with a CJ7? Stretching the frame seems like a lot of work when 7 frames are available.
Trying to use what you've got?

It'd probably be easier and stronger just to make your own frame... Or buy a used frame, I'd recommend going with a YJ frame because it is made with tube rather than two C channels welded together.
I'm using part of a YJ frame on my project vehicle:

Yes, I'm trying to use what I've got, and since I have to replace the body anyway I was trying to think of an easy way to stretch the wheelbase a little at the same time. I really don't have the skill to weld my own frame, but I might be able to track down a CJ7 frame and body in good condition or maybe a YJ, but transfering axles, drivetrain and everything else would be more tedious than just putting on a new body would it not?

YJ frame is a good option since it is box tube rather than 2 chunks of C channel welded together.
HOWEVER, it is about 4" wider than a CJ. I think you could probably narrow a YJ frame easier (and stronger) than stretching a CJ-5 frame.
I got my YJ frame from a boneyard for about $300.
