other than crashing at a truck stop outside of town, where is a good place to stay that would let me park a long bed dually with 25' gooseneck and a tall ass trail rig?

i'd rather not have to sleep in the truck to keep my shit from getting stolen, so i'd like someplace 'safe' to park it all overnight.

The average Matrix shootout scene has less cameras than any Casino parking lot. Park, tip, sleep well. :grinpimp:

thanks. i've never been there with a rig in tow so i was not sure about parking and security for such a setup.

now to find someplace with RV parking with uber cheap rooms and a buffet. need all the money i can for fuel!

Silverton at the South end of town has both a buffett, and a RV lot. Circus Circus is a good choice at the north end. Sam's Town on Boulder Highway is also good, but it's in a ghetto area. My recommendation would be the Silverton, plus it's got a Bass Pro's shop!

A lot of the casinos not on the strip have RV lots. Sams Town and a couple of others down on Boulder have them. Just take Flamingo East until you hit Boulder. Sams Town is right there and if you head North again you will find several others.

I like the sounds of Silverton myself, never was impressed with Circus Circus one bit. Now if Treasure Island had an RV lot, that would be my top choice, mmmmmm pirate wenches!

Sleep in your truck. Vegas as of today is ranked as the most vehicles stolen in the country.....if i lived in vegas iw ouldnt let my nice trail rig, trailer, and tow rig out of my site.

station casinos are cheap, decent, and all over town.

i would stay the hell off the boulder highway with anything i valued, lots of new people to town staying on the cheap are easy pickins to rovin bands of metal and car thieves.

good luck.

well i am driving sat-sun, so i'll need a place on Saturday night just to crash, shower and get some cheap grub. i dont care about super fancy casinos/hotels, loose slots, or gambling at all.

las vegas area is the first big place that is on my way just past the half-way mark (going to Moab in Sept)

how are the places at the stateline (primm, bill's, wiskey pete's)?

I stayed at Whiskey Pete's last summer for a night. I parked my F250 CC, Lance camper, and my 4Runner on top of my 18 foot car hauler, in the big rig parking area out back. It is way close to the building, so eats, swimming, etc. are within easy walking distance.

We all slept in the camper. My generator was strapped down and running on the back of my trailer all night so I could run the A/C. No noise issues because all of the big rigs were idleing so they could run their A/C too. My A/C drowned out the big rig sounds.

I'm not much of a gambler, but my family went swimming, had prime rib, and even went on the log ride across the street. This will be my new stop over spot from now on while we are wheeling or vacationing in Colorado, Utah, etc.

My cost to stay there vs. sleeping at a truck stop? $0 :D

I'd recommend going a little more and staying in Mesquite, NV which is right on the NV/AZ border on I-15. It was a few years ago and I don't remember which casino/hotel we stayed at but it was visible from the highway. Very nice clean place, dirt cheap food and rooms.

Edit- I do believe it was Virgin River- http://www.virginriver.com/
