If you want to help keep the Rubicon Trail open, here's what I suggest you do:
1. Join (free) the email network Friends of the Rubicon (FOTR).
2. Stay tuned to this BBS and the FOTR email network.
3. Sign up for work parties if you live close enough (www.friendsoftherubicon.com)
4. Donate money to FOTR (or your favorite organization that is supporting the trail, like the BlueRibbon Coalition or CA4WDC or many others -- www.delalbright.com/rubicon_donate.htm)
5. Spread the word that it's going to take us, the users, to keep this trail open. We are under a microscope from the governmental agencies charged with land stewardship.
6. WRITE your congressman and state legislators and tell them you want the trail left open, and that you want responsible access and multiple use of public lands.
