Is there a way to easily take a truck out of park and put it in nuetral or gear and take off the steering lock without using the key?

You want to know how to hot wire it too, while you're at it? :rolleyes:
Why don't you have the key?
Not with out damaging the lock cylinder or removing the steering wheel and replacing the lock cylinder.

Slide hammer or a large screwdriver.

Take the steering wheel off and take the column apart far enough until the pin has nothing to latch to. Might as well put in a new lock cylinder while you are there.

Or disconnect the shift linkage, and shift the trans from under the truck.

Hit the left side of the steering colunm with a hammer, right in front of the blinker arm. this will expose the liknage that goes down the column to the switch, you can start it with a screwdriver, and it will unlock the steering too!!!! :shaking: Watch out for lights on the front porch, and dont speed, you'll be busted if you get pulled over:flipoff2:

If you want to just take it out of park, you can crawl underneath and disconnect the linkage at the trans and rotate the shifter by hand
