I recently converted my 69 EB to power brakes. I'd like to share my meager experience. I bought the power booster from Autozone and saved about $100. The bracket I got from Wild Horses for about $150. They said there bracket didn't require clearancing the fenderwell. Great! So when I got it I noticed the big "DUFF" stamp on it. Duff charges only $120. Anyway I thought, "Oh well. Maybe they chopped it a little or something, no big deal. so I had the bracket and the booster. I'd just use everything else that was already there.... Well to make a long story short, I put it all together and it blew out all four 33 year old brake cylinders.
Ok, so i rebuilt the rears and replaced the fronts. Then it blew a hole in the 33 year old rubber line from the axle to the knuckle. so now I'm waiting for the stainless steel braided line kit from Summit.
My suggestion to you all is if they haven't been replaced, when you do power brakes, go ahead and replace all your lines, and brake cylinders. Russell speed bleeders and break fliud by the gallon have been a big help also.
I sure hope I can drive it after I replace the lines. I also hope this benifits someone else. Someday I'll do discs. I'd have to say working on it is a blast.
