According to some searches a 31 spline is 120% stronger than a stock dana 35 and a 28 spline is 34% weaker than a 31 spline. That would mean that a 28 spline is still 86% stronger than my dana 35. Has anyone here used a 28 spline with a locker and 35's? Or am I crazy?

width of axle? No, I have no idea. You got me though, I am definately a newbie to the 8.8 conversion. Input is always a good thing though.

unless the 28 spline is free dont get it, get a 31 spline with disk brakes.

Sorry it doesnt include the axle width but if anyone would like to contribute info Ill add it to the list.

I tried 4 threads on this subject, and found only one of them with any useable info. I do indeed want the 8.8 with discs and 31 splines, however I came across a super cheap ranger 8.8. Anyways, this can be put to rest for now.
