help!!!!! 88 cherokee 4.0 180 amp alt I have a 12v 5amp draw with the key off have pulled all the fuses and no change also pulled all of the relays no change! any body got any ideas no accesorys are on!:mad3:

You must have the factory rust-prevention option. It passes a small current through the unibody frame, and uses electrolysis to keep rust from forming on the main structural pieces.

5 amps seems like kind of a high draw for that option though, sometimes if rust does start to form it'll create a short in some spots and cause that to happen. If that's the case you'll have to remove all the rust in order to get rid of the short circuit condition. That should reduce the current draw down to a more manageable 500-750 mA.
