Couple options I can think of..
1-cut & turn the axle and put a 1350 CV up top.
2-"Cheap yet effective" Put a Toyota non-CV joint at the top of the shaft. Those things will run at ridiculous angles.

your welcome
TAWL_BOY 04-25-2007, 12:54 PM Don't shim your front axle, expecially if you drive on the street. Do a cut and turn. It the right way to get a front driveshaft to work on a tall truck. On my old Dana 60 we drilled out the plug welds, mounted the knuckles in a jig and used a torch and a big pipe to rotate the chunk.
Valley Auto 04-25-2007, 01:28 PM Sacremento driveline makes a BAMF60 ie: big ass mother fucka 60 degree shaft cv 1410 with a 1350 diff end works perfect on my buddies truck with the same combo and a 450hp BBC..
southern_alligator 04-25-2007, 02:17 PM wow, thanks for all the info guys. If i do a " cut and turn" on the front axle, im just turning the chuck itself right? cause the right front leaf spring mount is on that chunk? has any one ever turned that chunk to where u can just run a staight shaft with a slip?
thanks again
southern_alligator 04-25-2007, 02:27 PM Oh yeah, I have a Spicer yoke at my tranfer case for the front, not a flange cause my input is a 10spline for the front.

you have 12" of lift? Lower your suspension 6 - 8"

x2 Unless you have 54" tires, that is way too much lift.

TAWL_BOY 04-25-2007, 08:09 PM Even with a cut and turn you still need a cv on the t-case end of the shaft.
Gearhead 1990 04-25-2007, 09:20 PM I say put rockwells under your truck:D . That will fix your angle problem. THEN, go with the 54s as mentioned earlier.
suburban N progress 04-26-2007, 09:26 AM Dude..go with rockwells..25'' of lift. and some 52's :flipoff2:

I second this. I got my front shaft from Jess. 1350CV at TC and 1410 Joint at yoke, Like 13" of slip.... It is one badass shaft!!
