ive done the search and am getting a lot of different answers. i have an 84 toy and want only 4" front lift. i dont want to do drop hanger and only longer shackles if i need to. which of the yj rears will work better. ive heard the 2.5 are too soft, and the 4inchers will give 5-7" lift, same as the 44044's. any advice or pics is appreciated.

Go with the 4 inch wranglers.I have the 2.5 on the front of my truck and it is scary how reversed my springs get. They are only a year old and are afraid to park it long in the crossed up condition\. I figure eventually it will bend and snap the spring. I will be buying the wagoneers for the front very soon.

Get the2.5" with longer shackles (necassary) you will have about the lift you want. You will only have a problem with sagging if you over compress the springs or get some shitty ones. Mr. Noodles there would be sagging no matter 2.5" or 4" springs. Just get some bumpstops to limit compression so you don't get much reverse arch in the springs.
