It's been done google it or search here.

To me the carb set-up is a little more expensive than the EFI because of the cost of the intake and standalone ignition controller.

I vote modifying or using an aftermarket harness and retain the stock EFI is the best way because is fuel injection and don't have a carb. And you can have the PCM tuned to remove SES codes and emissions crap.

As for propane I haven't heard swaps of any GEN III to propane set-ups other than the stock 6.0Ls that run of LPG and came from the factory that way. And I have never seen a stock one.

Find this though.

If you can find a way to make the spark, the carburetion (propane) could be done no problem.

I have done a 6 liter and 2 5.3's. go to ls1tech.com and go to the forums. on the main page, quite a ways down there is a hybrids section. easier to search on there and they will tell you everything you need to know. it si cake.
best way is to get the factory harness and brain and send both to wait4meperformance.com they have always treated me right with great service and prices. quick too
