well, i just sold all my originally planned drive train (dual 44') and bought me a 14 bolt rear and am saving for a chevy 60 front. in the mean time, i will be setting up the front suspension to have it ready when i get the 60. my question is, what is the spring pad width of a front chevy 60 (outiside to outside or inside to inside, whatever)? i'm of course going spring over and if the 60 is like a waggy front, you can only go so far in on both sides b/c you'll hit the pumpkin on one. (i feel like i'm preaching to the choir) if it is the same as a waggy front or full size chevy, then i'll just get my measurement's from there, but i just want to make sure.

i think i remember needing to move the brackets out like 2" on each side for the waggy front to fit.

thanks a lot- russel

31.25" Center to Center I think this is standard for all full width chevy axles? D44HD, 10bolt, Dana 60. If your not into the fab/welding thing you can buy a kit from Avalanche Engineering to mount the springs outboard of the frame it goes for $375 I think. Try doing a search on these subjects too.

well, thanks, but i've been on here for a while, and have read a ton of articles about outboarding springs, but don't really remember much about exact widths. most guys just ask questions about how to make new outboard mounts.

thanks for the advice though;)
