Looking at using my air intake on my cowl as a possible solution to a cold air intake for my 258 with howell tbi kit. Am looking at using a late model caddy that had tbi cover and than use an inline filter and piping the whole thing using my cowl intake. Any thoughts or suggestions?

My thought where that I would get a ram effect off the windshield and therefore increase my airflow. It would also get my air intake up higher. I am also looking at a snorkel, but not sure a snorkel is what i want to do.

PS I am looking at the K&N Apollo Universal Cold Air Intake System setup as the filter/airbox. If someone knows a better way please let me know.

There was a write up floating around a few years ago where a guy used a Hummer snorkel through the cowl to accomplish basically what you're talking about. You might try to search that out.
