I have a 72 d30 front, drum brakes, 5 on 5.5 etc.
Then I also have a d30 front from an 84 of 85 cherokee,
Are any of the parts interchangable?
I would like to have the disk brakes from the cherokee axle, but I don't know if any of the parts match?
Thanks

You didn't tell us too much about what your doing with these axles?
Both axles on the "Ground" or on a vehicle ..... are they complete? Hub to Hub? Installing into the 72?
The '72 will probably have the 6-bolt Premium warn hubs (desireable). The disc brake conversion using the GM truck parts & the 'big' CJ rotor (77-78) would probably be the best.
I don't recall anyone using the Cherokee parts to get disc brakes on a '72 Dana 30. If the disc brakes are your primary concern .... can you just install the Cherokee axle? Bolt pattern & width problems?

totally different beast. the cherokee knucks will not fit on the '72, calipers bolt directly to the knucks, one has hubs the other does not, yada yada yada.
Anyone know if cherokee calipers are the same as the 2 bolt calipers on CJ's?

Ok the 72 d30,
is currently driving under my 54 3b,
The 84 d30 is under a parts rig,(complete)
I guess my big concern is the disk brakes. ( I want them on the 72 )
I have all the cherokee stuff and was looking for what could "bolt" on, for upgrade purposes and spares.
