i am going to be making my own tie rod and i need to know what years the FJ ends to get. the people at the parts store only know what the comp tells em, so i needs years and models. Also the same thing for the larger bore master cylinder mine has decide it doesnt want to work any more. also anyone know the threading on the FJ ends? gunna buy a tap so was wondering of anyone knew it thanks.

you want parts off a early 90s FJ80, I beleive that the tie red ends are 18mm. but one is left hand. you wont be able to find it, it will have to be built and it will cost you. Once you buy the rod ends you can messure the threds to make sure what size tap you need.
You might think about going with 1/2 ton chevy tie rod ends and reming your nucle arms to the right taper. then you will be able to find the taps you need.
The FJ80 TREs are 23mm, not 18mm. FJ40s used 21mm.
If you are making all new stuff and have crossover steering, I would go with the Chevy TREs.
