So I have a 87 Comanchee and an 87 Cherokee. The Comanchee has a 4.0L with a AX-15 out of a 93 Cherokee and it is 2wd. The Cherokee is a 4.0L with a BA10/5 and it is 4wd. Not sure what tc is mated to the BA10. The engine in the Comanchee is pretty well shot and needs a full rebuild. The Trans in the Cherokee needs a new slave. And since I have to drop the trans to change the slave I thought I might put the better of the two trans I have in it.

Leads me to this. What all would be required to replace the BA10 with the AX-15? I assume I would have to get a new output shaft for the AX-15 to mate to the tc. Other then that I can't think of anything else. :confused:

I think you need to change out the tranny's main shaft and rear housing.
