Im trying to find out how to flare stock bedsides on a 2005 2wd chevy, I have got the fiberglass fronts and dont want to buy fiberglass rears. I have looked around and found a few pictures on how to flare your stock bedsides but nothing very good. Has anyone done it successfully? Any pictures of finished product? Any help would be great, thank you,

I did my '02 F-150 in a few simple steps. First by cutting all the outer skin supports (spot welds) and removing the bolt on supports at the edges of the wheel well. Next I took the jack that comes with the truck and wedged it up inside the wheel well with some blocks of wood on either end to spread the load. I then extended the jack as far as I wanted the fenders to stick out. I then made spacers that fit in the new gap I had created between the inner bed skin and the outer skin. Tacked the spacers in place and removed the bottle jack.
I realize you ask for a Chevy, but it should be a similar process. I have an '05 Chevy that I'll look at later today and make sure it's the same.
BTW: I recommend rounding the edges of the block of wood you use for a spacer against the outer skin. The one I used had sharp corners and made marks that you could see in the outer skin after I removed the jack.
