My buddy's CJ-7 is poppin' outta first, shifting into second is very difficult. His dad thinks its the sincros, I'm not sure. His main vehicle ('95 Rodeo) is outta commision until he gets a new engine, to the tune of $1500! OUCH! I tried to talk him into an engine swap, but he's :rainbow:

I think it's fine to drive, after all they used to make tranny's without sincros. What do you guys think?

I am giont to tell him to run it like it is. What's the worst he can do, finish off the trans? Then he'll have to buy another one which is what his dad 'wants' to do now.

If it goes, don't put in another one. Those trannys suck. put in a T18 or something else bigger.
