Scott / Raptor 05-29-2002, 07:12 PM Danger Ranger / Mob,
I appreciate every ones concern for the trails. Before everyone lynches me I would like to mention that in the US we are innocent until PROVEN guilty. My side of the trash incident is simple. I did not see the trash or hear it. I have a Chevy 350 with no sound barrier and 48 inch tires. What happened is this. I was driving down the sluece box and got blocked by other vehicles that were broke down or stuck. I turned to the left to leave the sluece and when I got near the top someone yelled trash. I stopped and waited while Dave moved stuff out of the way. Someone yelled all clear and I drove out of the box. I parked a few feet away and stood around with most of you. Danger Ranger (Aaron) I am disappointed you did not tell me at the time what I had done. If you had, I would have gladly picked the trash up. You know how to get a hold of me so please do it. I will gladly talk to you about it or anyone. I appreciate your efforts to keep the trail clean. There are a few of you that have made threats to me. Well instead of making threats on the internet walk up to me on the trail or street and talk to me for five minutes and you might find out that I am a nice guy. I like to have fun at no ones expense and or the trails.
Scott Godfrey
PS. On my next trip I will spend 8 hours helping clean up trash that was left by people that should be prosecuted.
tommybronco 05-29-2002, 07:24 PM I kept up with the other thread and have now read this. I was not there so i had to hear both sides in order to take sides. I feel that your appology is sincere and i believe you are truely part of the wheeling family that is trying to fight the problem not become the problem. I guess you are off the hook :flipoff2: NOW can't we all just get along
TONY K 05-29-2002, 07:31 PM I want proof that he really does pick up trash from 8 hours. Pictures or something. And just how does he plan to get the trash out of the Con? That thing doesn't hold much.
Just the lighter side of this whole thing....
see ya,
tony k
smurfsdad 05-29-2002, 07:35 PM For someone that owns up to what they did, if he tells me when i will haul out the trash he picks up.
elf_cruiser 05-29-2002, 07:59 PM I have also followed this thread and realize how these incidents impact the Wheeling community. The last thing we need is more ammo for the greenies. Scott i am impressed by your apology, and i belive that the acceptance of a mistake, and the desire to make it right are the only things that people should judge you by. We all make mistakes, these things happen. It sounds to me like it was no one's fault, just one of those things. I am glad to see this being resolved, and all parties being open with each other. I have never been to the Con, but i want to someday, and i hope it is still open when i can get up there.
Big Rich 05-29-2002, 08:12 PM Kudos Scott.......
Tony if you want proof I suggest you go and help, or at least watch. I'd like to help at the point also, let me know when. oh and Tony I need some brake lines:D :D

TONY K 05-29-2002, 09:01 PM Rich,

"Rubicon Garbage Police" or "Garbage Awareness Commitee"
This just goes to show you Scott, you should pay better attention to your spotter. Even if he's only got 38's.
Dean Reed,
Nice idea on findiing a pad for oil cleanups. most companies would send free samples if they knew what it was for.
Another good day on the Board. nobody got killed.
