I walked out the door the other morning on the way to class and saw a couple random guys under my scout taking measurments and found that they are doing a resto/build up of a scout II down the road. He has been ordering patch panels from superscoutspecialists and everything has worked out really well but the rocker panel patches were made on a brake rather than rounded like the orignials and he was wondering if I knew anyplace that made round ones. I guess this is more of a BB question but I don't get over there much.

the ones he ordered https://www.superscoutspecialists.com/store/pc-224-22-full-length-rocker-panels-scout-ii.aspx

I'm hoping to help him out so he will buy the 1/2 ton fullwidths out of my scout so I can collect a few more bones for some air enaged traction aiding differentials for the 60 and 14 :D .

so, do the panels need more of a rounded brake? or do they need curve vs. a sharp bend?

The ones he got were 3 or so creases instead of a constant radius.

sounds like he needs to have someone with a slip-roll make him some correct ones. I'm no help on where to get new ones

I make mine out of 4" steel channel. It's heavy, but it will never rust through again.:grinpimp:

Sheesh for the price/quality of those SSS ones they could go to HF and buy a $50 brake and make them all day long.

Out of all the replacement rockers aviable the Super Scout (SSS) fit the best, they are not prefect and need a little tweeking but go in pretty easy. The ScoutFX are the worst fitting, none of the angles are right, AT Scouts had nice stuff, best fitting replacement parts but when ScoutFx bought them the quality went to crap.i don't think they know how to use a tape mearurer. I have installed about 20 pairs of the SSS rockers and if installed corretly a person that doesen't know any better can't tell the difference from stock. the last set of ScoutFX panels i used i have to split them into about 3 pieces to get the angles to work right.
