Whos been yet and what have ya caught? Post up some pics, stories etc... Im itchin to hit a nice looking catfish hole down here... Looking like a killer spot for some bruiser flatheads. I have only been able to do a little pond fishing so far this year, cant wait to hit Dale Hollow and Lake Cumberland.... I can already taste my first fresh mess of slab sides.....

No pics at work, but I went charter fishing on the Chesapeake Saturday. Slow day, but we managed to keep about 5 fish that were over or under the slot size. 4 were about 31"-32" and big momma was a 42", all were Rockfish.

went offshore on Saturday, almost limited on snapper with seven of us and got a couple grouper and one small cobia. My wife went again on Sunday and got beat to crap in rough seas and only caught small red, and mingo snapper. We'll probably do some surf fishing later in the week.

I havn't been this year, but we've taken the kids with our scout pack a couple times to the local playa lakes. I hate to spend $30 for a fishing license to catch a 4" fish in a public park.

The kids have a blast at it though, and one pulled a 14" trout out of one lake. My youngest caught a 6" bluegill and insisted that she "do everything herself". Did a good job for a 4 year old--baited, cast, and removed the little thing all by her lonesome. Barely had a chance to take a pic.

We're planning a trip to Lake Brownwood after school's out, we've heard tell the crappie are really good out there this year.

Been Sturgeon fishing once and Steelhead fishing once, yet to catch anything this year. Hope to go Salmon fishing sometime very soon! Now that the streams are open I'll probably be hitting them now and again.

I haven't been able to do any offshore fishing yet. Always wanted to tho. I love hanging into big fish!

Me and my 9yr old nephew are going out tomarrow to scout some catfish holes for chumming. Probably do a little bass casting along the way....

I've caught a few smallish bass so far this year. I've been out a couple times in my buddy's new bass boat on lake Dardanelle. It should start to pick up around now since the temp is finally leveling out instead of flipflopping between hot and cold.

This is my latest fishing trip catch with my mates, Im on the far right. Fishing in local Harbour over a wrecked boat about 64ft to the bottom. We caught 4 though lost another 5 due too snapped lines, 100lbs fishing line being used, most of time due to being snapped of on rocks. The Fish are known as Jew Fish, or some other places as Mullaway. Very strong fighting fish at the start but tire quickly, the Biggest one on the left weighed in over 37lbs or 17kg as was just on a 127cm. They were gutted before weigh in. A really great eating fish when we got home chucked some fillets on the BBQ with some home made chili sauce cracked pepper and some lemon and lime it tastes awesome.

That's enough to bring a tear to the burliest of proud papas!

I haven't caught anything this year, but the big trout hanging out by the docs at work and the bass making beds along the shoreline are calling. Can't wait till the carp come rolling in soon!

That's awesome. I've got high school-aged cousins that can't even do that yet.

I've been catching crappie recently, but they've slowed down this past week. Overall, it's been a pretty good year for me. I'm breaking out some catfishing jugs this weekend.

Mostly Pacific Ocean fishing. Caught Halibut, Sea Bass, White Sea Bass, Yellowtail, Yellowfin, Albacore, Big Eye Tuna, Calico Bass, and I throw back all the barricuda and Jacks in between.

Forgot the Rockfish. I like to fish.:D

The wave in my avatar is off the back side of San Clemente Island in SoCal.:grinpimp:

I have caught catfish, rainbow trout, and brown trout at the lakes though as well.

Holy crappie fest threadkiller! There used to be a decent population of crappie in the lake I work at, but their populations have dwindled since the spotted bass were planted. They're currently doing a number on the smallmouth population also. One of dfg's brighter idears
