first time I manged to let the smoke out on a rover. (scout used to smoke a least once a month)
Spilled some coolent while changing the upper rad hose on the series (damn SIII rad grumble grumble). So I hosed off the engine compartment and washed it all though the gravel drive (in case Blue (fluffy puppy) decided to break out of her fenced area, she has figured out how to climb up on the fence but has YET to figure a way over). Hooked up the new battery and the amp meter pegged at 30 amps, since I just put in a new alternator I though maybe I had something wrong. Wrong, smoke came from behind the gauge panel quickly ran around and yanked the battery cable (always on loose :)). Luckily no real damage. The water looked to be shorting the ignition switch.
Will find out tomorrow how bad after it drys.
