I bought my sami with a weber already there,I believe it is jetted wrong for the samurai motor.does anyone have a list of the proper size jets for idle ,air and mains?something is wrong with this thing,it sucks the fuel and idles rough and runs rich.I have a stock carb still bolted to the intake that I have thought about switching it with, but the kid disconnected all the hoses so I have no clue what to do with all the open hoses coming off the intake and the carb.any way fellas throw me a bone here.....1.get the weber rebuilt and jetted right or .....2.get the stock one back on and tune it.? also jet size if any one knows let me know

I believe that my main and secondary jets are 140 and my idle jet is 65. Mine came with a 60 idle jet and Sarge, who seems very knowledgable over at off-road.com (don't want to start a flame war between 2 boards) reccomended a 65 for low throttle response and said that the 140s were good.

I will try to take some pics of mine tonight. I, too, had to start from scratch. You will be plugging alot of vacuum lines. My truck runs great when you are driving, it will NOT idle until it warms up. I was told to try the 55 for the idle.

Mine won't idle either until it's warm (stock carb.) I've been trying to get it right, but can't seem to. Any suggestions???

I rebuilt the Weber and that didn't work. If it is choked manually it will idle, which means it is starving for gas when it is running off the idle jet. My issue is just getting it jetted correctly.

Will it idle if you choke it manually?
Is your choke fawked up?
Do you have any vacuum leaks?
Is your fuel pressure ok?
Does your intake manifold pull at least 15psi of pressure, while its idling?
Is it in time?????

Just a few things to check.

Number two on the list is what i think it is coming down to.

The butterfly doesn't seem to be openning. So it's not choking itself. I'm not that knowledgable about carbs so whatcha think?

thanks

Just my 02 and experience with Holley carbs if the float level is incorrect it will run just like your describing but have never fucked with a weber.
