I am wondering if I should make a change in radiator position. I have a 51 gmc on a 83 waggy frame, with subframe and 17" total lift. I have a 440+.020 for the powerplant with a 727/dana 300 t & tc. Because of the limited nose room for radiators, I am using a 65 mustang core, and a late model Lincoln electric fan setup (over 4000cfm). I am considering locating the radiator on a slant in the bed with the fan. Anyone else running the bedded radiator on the street, how does it work out and ideas for the plumbing would be great. Also I have the dreaded "no clearance" problem on my front driveshaft, due to the tranny pan. If I turned my d-shaft around, I'd have no prob. Can you put the double-joint ( Cardian??) upside down so that the smaller end is at the tc and the doubler is at the d60 pinion? Help would be appreciated, thanks. BY the way you can see the build at my homepage below.

Basically, as a practical matter, no. The double-cardin takes the "bend" in the drive line, while the single u-joint is supposed to be aligned straight with the pinion shaft.
I suppose if you tilted the transfer case such that it pointed directly at the diff, you could put the double cardin at the diff.:shaking:
