Ok so Im confused and seeing as how Im going to possibly start building my cage or at leaset start collecting material.. can someone tell me the difference between a tube bender and a pipe bender... what I mean is it seems pipe benders BEND the pipe and create a crease or flat portion when it bends unless you fill the pipe with a medium.... Why doesnt a tube bender do the same??
Thanx.. flame away

pipe is measured from the inside diameter. tube is measured by outside diameter. a tube bender (can see one on trick-tools.com website) has uses a die and mandrel. the tube is pulled along the semi circle die by the mandrel which has the same shape as the tube so it cant kink or crease. whereas a pipe bender general has the same semi circle but just two points of contact where the pipe is bent against providing no form or structure to keep the pipe from kinking. hope that helps.
