But I looked at my Jeep lastnight and it looks like you have to cut and drill which is no big deal. Want to know if anyone has done this before. Any info would be helpful. Thanks Ken rkcrawl 05-30-2002, 09:14 AM Haven't done it, but it shouldbn't be a big deal. I put my CJ tailgate on the YJ tub when I swapped tubs. The difference is the YJ gate is hinged on the side, rather then the bottom and the latch will be different. If you get a YJ tailgate, just make sure to get everything you need from the donor, tailgate and hinges, latch, and any brace/supports that are inside the passgener side wheel well to support the hinge mounting points. rockinfive+2 05-30-2002, 09:25 AM I saw that lastnight it looks like you have to cut off the brackets that hold the 7 tailgate cables. I cut them out of the old tub and welded them into the YJ tub when I put my CJ tailgate on the YJ tub. They might be in the way for the YJ tailgait on a CJ. | |
