i just picked up a 700r4 with a lock up converter, since i never really leave first gear and it will never see the road, what will happen if i dont have some way to make it lock up

I dont' think they lock up in 1st gear anyways. IIRC it's only 3rd and OD, maybe 2nd.

They won't lock-up in lo gear from the factoryu so it will be fine. Even if you shifted to a higher gear it would be ok.

yes, they only lock up in 3rd and 4th. and they run fine without locking up, just hotter.

Be fine with out lock up but why not wire in a toggle switch and use your lock up when in third and fourth. Just my .02

i will proboly nevetr use 3rd and fourth and if i ever do it wont be for more then 1/2 mile , at the most the rest of the time i will but in first always
