That's your problem. I learned to drive in an '88 Bronco w/the I6 and M5OD. Around 100k it was making the same noises. My understanding is that a tranny rebuild is your only option. Sclemons might have further suggestions.

ok so i need to rebuild it. what is the cost for parts. i'm pretty shure that i can do it my self. i split a t-case and put it back together without anyproblem, and with no prior experiance.

what does the rebuild entale? will i have to split the tranny and if so what needs to be replaced?

i really apreaciate the input guys i'm ready to roll this thing off a cliff while i'm still inside. anyone want a truck for 3800 bucks?:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :

ok so i took my truck to a tranny shop and they said that they think and are almost positive that it is the input shaft gear. they think that it has a chiped tooth. so they gave me an price of 700 in parts and labor with the tranny given to them, basicly i remove the tranny and install it and they do all the repair work.
they said that it was a 500 dolar bill for just the parts. witch included:

new gears, syncros(185k on tranny), rubber plugs and all the seals. so i decide to go the local junk yard and get a price on a NP435, they only want 450 for a low milage one, so think that is the way i'm going when i get the money. and the junk yard i went to is the most expensive, so i think that i can get one for around 300 to 350.

thanks for the input guys:beer:
