I have found a Dana 70 rear from a 2002 Dodge (Diesel/manual trans) which totalled and I don't know if it's a 35 spline or not and the salvage yard won't let me take it apart to check.

It has 70 - 2U stamped on one of the webbs.
It has 52069459AJ on one tag.
The other tag has 606707-2 which should be the BOM.
It has 3.54 gear ratio.
It has 3.5" tubes (If this matters)

I have called several manufacturers for lockers/gears and have gotten different answers.

Does it have 35 spline 1.5" shafts or 32 spline 1.41" shafts?

Any help would be appreciated.

I just found a dana 70 off a 1976 F350 special delux camper, I checked It has 4110 410:1 gears, but what spline count does it have. Didnt have time to pull the shaft.

Does any one know the rang of FORD years that had d70 35 spliners? I believe there was a transiton between late 70's and early 70's, and recall the late 70's having the 35 spline.

thanks guys...

Im hoping for the best of both worlds....

Mostly do laplace and fourier transforms, to derive analog or digital transfer functions....... counting?.... not too often.
