Ive got a 305( I know, I know) in my S-10, and I used the Mr. Gasket remote oil filter kit, but the hoses wont reach to a location under the hood that I really like.

Ive got access to the fittings and hoses to convert it over to JIC #6, but Ive got to wonder... is it big enough? The passages in the fittings and hose are about 1/4", and thats about the inside diameter of the hard lines on the 4.3L remote oil filter; but thats a V6... not a V8.

So, what do yall think?

I wouldn't use less than -8's; I used -10.

Mercruiser uses 5/8 hose for the remote filters on a stock SBC marine engine. I'd stick with that or larger:)
