Hey, empty your Inbox man!

Hi Randy,

I was up at Loon this weekend camping and canoeing (drove the Tahoe) and walked in to the work we did on the trail drainage at the Aligator Pit area last year. A large rock had fallen in and blocked part of it and a lot of smaller ones filled in. I removed the big one and dug out the rest as best as I could but a digging bar is needed to get the rest out. I did make a significant improvement. I think I have a couple of pics I'll send you when I get the time. They show that area and the water on the rest of the trail back towards Gate Sweeper. Yes I spelled that right. A lot of water is still running down the trail but probably because of the blockage. It was much better after I was done.

Ha ha, I drove my Tahoe (stock) all the way in to GK and probably could have made it through it too but I was alone and didn't want to get it stuck.

Bret

The left side of the fork at the right is where I removed the blockage. You can see the amount of water that was traveling past the log blockade down the trail towards Sweeper.

Anyone can form up a group to go up and handle this. I have been in on the Wentworth side this year and done work. All it takes is one or two guys. Keep track of your time and turn it in to one of the FOTR leads. Randii, myself, Del or others.

Here's a few more from yesterday, gatekeeper and along the following section. We tried to open up the water drains, but it didn't work so well without tools - a stick doesn't make a very good shovel.
