ok guys...im wantin to put a 4in lift on my 82 yota...so im goin to put either chevy, or f150 leafs in the rear, and the stock yota rears up front....so im confused on shackles now...
if i get chevy or f150 leafs, how big of a shackle should i buy to get about a 4-4.5in lift in the rear???? with chevy or f150 springs....im so confused

umm well actually i dont have the springs yet, but someone told me around like 95' 00' year would work..i think they are like 53" springs...do you think those would work..

It is all specific to how tired your used springs are, where you mount them, your hanger, etc.
That said...my well tired 1988 2wd Chevy 63's mounted using Sky's kit with 6 inch eye to eye single shackle and with the hanger mounted on the flat of the frame I gained 3 inches of lift. A 3 inch block gives me just a slightly higher altitude in the back than the front so depending on your circumstances, I think you might be just fine anywhere from running just the springs with a 5 inch shackle to needing a 2 inch block with a 6 inch shackle to get where you want to be. It's some trial and error and it sucks, but if you try to plan too much it's just going to result in tears when something is an inch and a half off. :flipoff2:
