Gonna be getting a 92 full size Blazer with a bad 700 auto. Hating autos, I want to swap in a 5 speed. I have the manual column and pedals, but want to make sure I have all the peices so I can do it in one shot. ECM, column, pedals, bell, trans, t-case, hydro stuff, clutch/flywheel, maybe driveshaft. Did I cover everything??

um no you also need tha little bracket that holds the pedals up there. That is the most pain in the assed thing about the manual swap in. because unless you have no wiring left under your dash and you pulled your seat out to replace the column, Well your goin to be pulling an all nighter trying to get that sob in there.

Pilot bearing & clutch pedal start safety switch ??
I agree with the pilot bearing. Only pussies use a clutch pedal start safety switch.:flipoff2:

I'd proby pull the seat to make it easier. I think I have the bracket, havta check. Even if I don't I can get it off the donor truck. Still debating on going manual, but getting tired of autos, never know when they go. Even with normal driving...

Does anyone know if the crank from a previously-auto motor will accept the pilot bearing when doing this swap?

Don't see why it wouldn't. I have a 400 that was auto, bolted on a flywheel, and put the pilot bushing in. Other than getting a socket stuck, fit fine.
