I cant find a measurement for YJ spring width. Used Yahoo and Pirate search engine, and no numbers? :(

I think this should go in non-hardcore. 2.5"

Sorry about the confusion. Need to know the width from the center of the hole in the perch to same on other side. Think it is 31.5 or so. But thanks for the quick replys. I am trying to figure the difference between stock YJ to Chevy Dana 60. Got the 60 specs from Billavista's bible.

ok, if you can not figure out the difference between width and length, you have other issues to deal with :D

I have no clue what you are talking about. A dana 60 is 32" from spring perch to spring perch. All I am asking is what a dana 30 is from perch to perch on a YJ. I think it is 31.5". I would measure my axle but it is in New York. I'm not sure what length your talking about? :flipoff2:

Here's the Weiner. Just notch the pin holes in the perches on the 60 1/2" in on both and you're springs'll slip right in. The 60 came w/ 3" perches, unlike the 30 which has 2.5" so...

you're good to go.

Not flaming ya, but your question was "What is a YJ spring width" be more specific. You wanted to know the distance between center pin to center pin perch mounts, not the width of a YJ spring :) (2.5")

I am running my 60 without any perch mods on the YJ, not sure if it is worth all the extra work, since has been working and driving great as is couple years now, (I had the same distnace on a HP44 previously).

the YJ frame rails are 30.5" center-center and the same for the perches. you may have to outboard the front shackles a tad to compensate for the wider 60 you have. i did that on my 78 ford front 44 which is 32".

Is correct in the frame rails 30.5".

but no in the axle, the is 31".

I am going to try moving the pin holes 1/2" in board. I am also going to go 1" back to get an additional inch of well base. Thanks Again
