: Front Scout 44 to 47 willys

Came across a guy in town thats looking to get rid of some scout axles, how easy will the front be to swap into my willy's? the pumpkin is on the right side, has anyone done this before?

You would have to cut the long side 4" or outboard your spings on the frame.
If you want it to drive well on the street, you would probably need to turn the knuckles to get a decent castor angle.

I belive it was actually 3", but I'd measure to be sure. I've got a scout front in my 46 cj2a. Rotating the knuckles is nonsense, the jeep steers and tracks fine with 0 degrees of castor - just like stock. The only real downside to the scout axles is the extremely long steering arms, if you use a normal saginal pitman arm you may not get full steering. Also to run wide tires you need a rim with a little less backspacing to get the tires away from the steering arms.
