ahh suck it up... I've done the drive to cali to wheel several times...

Goldendale is still 6 hours + from my place with an unfriendly border to cross.

I would like to take a few extra days after the Goldendale competition to do some off-roading with my family. Does anyone know of some good spots in Oregon that would be good for camping with the family as well as off-roading? It would be nice if there were some additional sites to see or other activities close by.

Let me know.

Thanks,
Matt

post up on timbercrawler with that question. There are a lot of folks in the Portland area that could help you out. I like TSF it that area.

The sand dunes in Oregon are fun.

I would prefer rocks over sand. What is the best place for camping and rock crawling?

Bend Oregon looks like a fun place...never been there though

RimJob is suppose to have quite the pucker factor. Reiter trails up by Crash's place is suppose to be a lot of fun but its 4 hours north of goldendale...

In oregon. Camping and wheelin you'll probably have more fun at browns camp. Bend is good but it is kinda in a weird spot to find. And you'll need a local to show you where the trails are.

Justin

Shoot me a pm with your number is you want to talk about some of the places.

nice edit :flipoff2:

Rimrock is pretty gnarly. Kinda like Moabs hells revenge but on loose dirt. you definetly could die there.

http://stumpthumpers.4x4play.com/latestrun/RIMROCK%201.htm this is a mild trail...

heres another link http://www.jpmagazine.com/eventcoverage/rimrock_trails/

Rimrock is good, but it is still snowed in this time of year.
