Anyone have any suggestions on what, if any, carb I can swap for my stock Holly 4bbl thats simpler to adjust and won't get destroyed every time i get a slight backfire? Anything CA smog legal? Its a daily driver

Sorry, but carbs suck, swap it all, and forget about it.

Everything applicable to the swap from the donor vehicle. ie MAP, or MAF sensor, o2 sensor etc. etc.....
