I am running a GM 1 ton drag link on my 64 IH crew cab, with a Dana 70 front axle. I have reamed the steering arm and pitman arm with the correct reamer. Due to recently installing GM front lift springs, and moving the axle rearward a little, I need a longer draglink. My angles are fine, I am running the IH steering gear, with the pitman shaft pointing horizontally to the left. Have any of you come up with a longer adjusting sleeve ?? Got the guy at Parts Plus working through the catalogs, too. I have my current link adjusted out as far as I am comfortable going. I need another 1" to -1/2". - Ed

If I am not mistaken the drag link ends are 2027L and 2026R. You could use a 2233L in place of the 2027L. It is 2.25" longer than the 2027L. It has the stabilizer hole in it, so it might look a little outta place but should fix your problem. It would also let you run the ends further up into the adjusting sleeve for more thread engagement.

2233L has the wrong sized tapered end. It's a tie-rod end not a drag link end. Drag link ends are double pivot, and a larger diameter taper section.

Thanks for the responses. I found a local machinist that has the taps, he is making me a link from moly tube, with lock nuts. :bounce2:
