Spun axles? When and why did this happen?

If the gears are toast ... yeah it's a good time to add a locker with the new gears.
Going to a full floater is a personal choice ...

Unless your axles are toast then it would be good time for the FF as well.

Thinking along the lines that doing one thing creates a need for another, but yes if your shafts are bad replace them too.
Could be that the gears are good and the original 2 piece model 20 shafts are the problem too.

Yeah........make sure the driveshaft is spinning!@ :flipoff2: :rasta:

Also......if you're running M20 and are going to buy a locker and gears............replace the 2 piece piece of crap axles with some FF's or some good ole trusy Mosers!

Whatever you do..........don't dump the M20 and spend a bunch of $$$$ on a 9" or D44. If you must jump from a 20 then make it to a 60. Otherwise there is no performance increase.....just a price increase! :)

it might be the cross pin that go's through the carrier and spider gears thats busted. if so, you might just need to replace the pin.

Although I am not running one the 9" is stronger than the M20 and can be made almost as strong as a 60 for not too much money(spend the same building a 9" as you would a 60) parts are pretty damn cheap for a 9" and are all over the place...FWIW:D

Think it comes down to personal like/dislike and $$$. The moser 1 piece axles will cost you about $300, the warn FF kit is around $500, I think.

Either one would be a nice upgrade over stock 2 piece axles.

last time I looked in a vendor catalog, the FF kits were well into the $700's
