Little front heavy?

Little front heavy?

has nothing to do with that. front heavy rigs fly nose up anyways...

has to do with wheelspin/hp (or in this case lack of hp) and valving/spring rates.

???
For the uninformed like myself... explain how having a heavy front end causes rigs to fly nose up?
I know there is more to it such as the other things you mentioned but I don't understand the logic behind your second sentence.

For the most part front heavy rigs fall nose first, meaning your intuition is right.

Nerd On.
What total immortal is saying is also true. It is explained best from a physics standpoint, where the jump launches you up because when traveling up the ramp your momentum which acts on your center of gravity has momentum in the foreward and upward direction. So technicly the center of gravity is what is truly getting launched and pulled back down by gravity. The effect of whether the car is tilted in the air depends on the spin of the car about its center of gravity, this happens from the way the car leaves the ground which depens much on the shape of the jump, driver input(the more HP the more driver input at the last second), and the way the suspension reacts. So it makes sense because it is easy to get the center of mass to fly in a predictable way off of a jump, therefore the front of a heavy rig. but really it is very circumstancial.

However just like throwing a water bottle that is 1/4 full up into the air, even if you spin it or whatever, if it falls for long enough, gravity takes over and it falls heavy end first, but air drag effects why this also seems trivial.

Nerd off.

I was standing about 20 feet to the left of the camera.

As noted he pulled 4 test jumps the day before.
I don't wanna give a way the story line so you'll have to watch the show. It should air at the end of the month. WHY would he try it?

Glenn has big balls:D He is really working hard to bring the side x side stuff into the major market. He popped out of the rhino and walked away with no injuries. Sore the next day yes but not bad considering. The Rhino did not get beat that bad either. He really got lucky on the roll, it cart wheeled perfectly and there was not a whole lotta damage to the little thing.

Sadley it was plain to see he was gonna yard sale as he approached the ramp. He did not have the speed he wanted but went for it.:shaking: :smokin:
