Swear I've seen this pop up before.
Depends on how much you want/need it.
Looks clean and solid, and very useful I would see that thing go up for $1000 or $2000, or 'haul it out of my yard'.
What you going to do with it? Its a 1-ton truck, D70 front and an IH specific 'RA15 or 20' rear axle. For $500 I'd bring it home without question, and convince the wife later. For someone that truly needed a HD 1-ton 4x4, and liked older trucks, $2K or better wouldn't be out of line.
Whats the guy want for it? What does he hint to? Free would be killer.

Also depends on how tight your parking space is you need to maneuver it into.... you'll need about 16 acres to turn that bitch around. :flipoff2:

It appears to be a 4-door, so those are rare. :D
Supply and deman though...i'd say demand is pretty low...

thats a redneck crew cab:D and people thought mega cabs had all the room:shaking:
A good deal would be $500-$800, then you could afford to fix all the other crap that will make it road worthy. Why did they stop driving it??
needs a new carb, plugs, wires, and distributor. LOL
I would pull the dissy and spin the oil pump before starting an engine that has not run for year. you can search on the binder bulletin for more details.

This has popped up before. I know the 1 tons. Its not worth much and by the time you start pricing out the rarest of the rare parts(arent all 74/75's?) it gets stupid expensive in a hurry. Brake shoes, rear end parts(if needed), etc... Its not worth the intial savings to begin with.

If the body is as solid as it looks, and the engine checks out, I would offer him $500 and not a cent more. Plan on replacing both axles as stated.

he bought it from the company that upgraded and got new trucks. he planned on using it as his ranch truck but then he just did not use it..

Are you still planning on stealing these axles for your jeep or are you going to drive it?
If you don't take it I will
