i got a free d44 from a mid 70's scout. all studs (5 lug) on driver side are broken off. fair amount of rust on axle, and i can't get the rotor off. calipers have been removed. i'm wondering if it's the rust (weld) or if i'm missing something. any links helpful. thanks.

Drive whats left of the studs out of the rotor/hub assembly. The rotor should fall off then.

The two parts are pinned together with the studs, not slip-over like some of the new trucks.

Is the rotor/hub removed from the axle?

If all the studs are busted off then you will have to take the hub off anyway to replac them.

Dead blow hammer, and some ass! Cursing helps too.
