What is the most common springs used on F-toys front and back? 3", 4", 5" any of the leafs removed? What works the best?

i'd say 3 to 4" is pretty common. i dont know anyone that runs full 5" packs.

Except for you, when your bajaing the woops.:D

I am running a modifed spring pack of the TG 5" all the way around the f-toy. The spring packs are very soft and flexy specifically for comp. If you are going to be trail riding most of the time then you should run the full packs in my opinion. You may want to pull the bottom leaf out depending on the weight of the buggy.

I'm running a fresh set of 3" AllPro Buggy springs. I was running their 4" Betts. I loved them! I was a bit reluctant to do the 3's, but Jon talked me into it. They are every bit as good as he said they'd be. Very flexy
:smokin:
I did loose 1.5" of ground clearance, but I'm still around 25.5" off the ground to the frame. My COG is better than before...and I like it.
I also went to a 6" shackle.

So if you had to choose one set and stay with that what would your choice be? Im thinking 3" would be best so it still has a low center of gravity but I don't want to sacrafice ground clearance. The 4" pic didnt show up on my cpu for some reason.

So far I'm liking the 3" AP Buggy Springs w/ 6" shackles :smokin:

thats what i took out the bottom spring for. some people remove 2. but after they break in, the settle to much for me and i like them to be stiffer. so i only remove 1 leaf.

My 3" AP buggy springs are INCREDIBLE! I've ru all sorts of springs and these things just plain work awesome.:smokin:
Bad pics., They actually flex more than that. The tires will rub the bars and will droop more than in these pics.

We run the TG 5in. springs with the bottom leaf out. We are going to pull one more out of the rear to see if it will soften up a little , even with a full tank of fuel (15 gal.)their somewhat stiff , if that dont work softer shocks will

dont get all hung up on how much lift. its more about how the springs work. any old 3" spring could be crap. whats the spring rate? how long is the spring? how does it balance from front to rear? those are the questions that need asking.

You'll like the AP 3" buggies unless you dig hi speed runs. For everything else they are great.

I really like the Deavers that are on my buggy. I don't have a lot of time on them yet, but they seem to flex out really well and can still handle high speed runs. I need to move my front shackle back a couple inches in order to get the full flex out of the front, but so far I'm impressed. I've seen these springs work well on Re:Todd's rig, and I'm assuming these are the same setup. Maybe one of the Benders could confirm that and give some more info on them.
