My wife's '73 ain't happy. Want to do SOA and 4" springs, but not starting makes me a little hesitant. 345 was running peachy, now no starty. Inside distributor looks toasted. Any sellers or fixers of distributors here?

HMM,
My wifes stock scout(not listed in sig, driving wifes cherokee is priceless) has a bad distr.
What do I do?

But just to show that I am hard core (this is PBB)...I want to give her a 10" lift.

Where could I go to get lots of info on a stock IH????

I wonder if any IH guys are really smart enough to come up with an ignition upgrade like us smarter jeep guys(running chevy drivetrains)?

If she wants ten inches of lift she needs to call Ron Jeremy.

STFU and answer the question. We are in a forum where the great binders have info about the junk I'm trying to rebuild for my wife, right? Maybe instead of bagging on my Heep, you should devuldge info on how you put 37's and SOA on your Scout without a saw being involved???
I fixed my sig for ya, too

You don't... unless you want a some ridiculously tall :rainbow: truck you need a step ladder to get into and have to repel out of that's so top heavy and unstable you can't take a corner at anything over 5.3mph.

Mech I doubt this guy cares about flex or wheeling. Just do a SOA but instead of springs just .25 wall tube so you tires wont rub with the 1" of clearance in the wheel wells.

Hey, we DID answer your question. You asked about the distributor, and hey, the first 5 answers were leads, hints and and inquiry for more info so that WE could help you.

THEN we started bagging on your Jeep.... what do you expect, your in and IH forum and there has been a long standing [friendly] rivalry between bastard child Scouts and Jeeps for decades.

You MENTIONED doing 37's on the Scout, but never ASKED anything about doing it, so how the hell are we supposed to know that you don't know how to fit them.

FYI, you need about 12-14" of lift to fit 37's without cutting and still be able to flex a bit, but since your impressive sig shows that you already have two full-sizes on 40's you should know how to get big lift numbers.

How about ASKING the questions you want answers to it and not being a fucktard about it
