I am thinking to build a Trailer for a 3.000lb rig, wich spring rate are you using or recommend each of leaf springs (4)?

Ok, for a tandem axle trailer, using 3.5k axles, I would recommend either the AWS-4 or the Dexter 72-24. I can never get a consistent answer when it comes to spring rate, but I'll let you know what I've got.

AWS-4: 3500 lbs. per pair, 26" long, 4 leaf pack, .38" thick per leaf
72-24: 4000 lbs. per pair, 25.25" long, 3 leaf pack, .41" thick per leaf

These are a couple of the most common springs that we see on 7k gvwr trailers. They work well, and we've had hardly any problems with either spring. Oh, and almost all springs are built off shore now, sorry, no USA springs.

I like the 3 standard leaf (thiner ones) that are really only rated for 1000 lbs each I believe so 2000 per axle. I replace them every 5 years along with the bushings as they do flex more than the recommended springs so as a precaution I just replace them as they are cheap anyway. They give a much nicer ride and still hold up a load ok.

And what's the width?

The 3 leaf versions mentioned above have the thick leafs...I like the lower rated versions with the thinner leafs. The trailer does not ride like a cement truck this way lol!
