a flop on memeorial day took out my grill, radiator, core support and headlight mounts. any ideas on some semi legal(appear to the CHP legit) headlights. id like to run 4 2 on for low beam, 4 on high beam and i got some fancy led turn signals at the local flying 'J'...

ill just fab up a new grill with expanded metal and angle iron to mount it all on....

Go pick yourself up a VW trends magazine and order up some dunebuggy/baja bug headlight buckets and some H4 halogen bulbs

Done it... the 7" round headlight buckets for bugges, are only about $15-20 apiece. Looks like a KC light housing, but fits a standard 7" round headlight bulb. Doesn't look 100% street legal (looks like KC's) but it is entirely street legal for headlights.

Hella H4's The NON DOT legal ones :) They are the shit. I have a set in my supra. Awsome stuff. Not at all irritating on low beam to oncomming drivers but with some 90/100w bulbs it looks like you got a 4ft diameter search lite on your roof. Looking about $45 a light with the stock 55/60 bulbs. about $12 for the 90/100w bulbs.
The set I have I bought in 1984 :) whenever I replace the car I try to buy a car the lights will fit. In order of the cars these have been in.

I would se about fixing up the core suport enough to get lights back in it. or try to mount the aftermarket buckets into the stock location to keep the hassels from the PD down. Even if the Housings are legal the fact that the truck has provision for lights is going to make a know it all cop think your driving on fog lights.
