My jeep started to vapor lock on me all of a sudden when the wheather started to get hot. I never had this problem last year. what do you all do to prevent this such as line insulation etc. My CJ-7 has a fuel injected 4 liter from an 87 cherokee. I was thinking maybe the pump is going bad because it is really loud like it's got no gas in it when i try to restart it. The pump is an out of tank inline one that is only 1.5 years old. who makes a good pump with at least 50 psi thats inline. Thanks for any help :mad3:

sounds like you've got it diagnosed right you need a fuel pump .I dont know who makes a good one though maybe try to post in general 4x4 and ask something like "Who makes the best in line fuel pump"I'm sure you ll get the info you need that way.I would do a search first though.

Airtex makes a good pump. Auto Zone carries it under the private label name Master. So what you need is a Master E2000. The cool thing is, it comes with a life time warranty.;)

This is cool. Now the issue is you know how Autozone works... Make/Model/Year to get to the part.. Any idea what this pump fits? I'd like to put a spare in my parts box... I like the lifetime warranty idea too.
Edit: Nevermind, found it by searching on E2000. 69.99 is a whole lot better then the $125 that Howell gets!
