New engine is running well and I'm driving my truck for the first few times in months...................and coolant starts leaking inside from one of the heater hoses. Exactly what I wanted! :bounce2:

That's nothing, go buy a $4 hose and fix it. I was expecting something like your new motor threw a rod or broke a timing chain...but a interior heater hose? C'mon!! :flipoff2:

there are no hosees inside, so it's either leaking from the hose as it connects at the firewall or the core is leaking....if you have a 79-83 u can pull the heater box in 15 mins.....your 85 may take longer...can't remember.

I had the same problem when I installed my new engine:mad3: . I pinched the lower radiator hose when I tighted the power steering pumb bank on to the block. At first it was a small little drip, then 2 days later it exploded. I was lucky it happend right when I started it up in my drive way. So I found the broken hose and replaced it, put more radiator fluid in thier and it works great!
Cost $3.00:cool:
